See an overview of all 24 magazines for the years 1986-2009
VILLREINEN has been published every year since 1986. The yearbook has an excellent reputation and it is the only publication providing new information about wild reindeer in Norway. It is published by the Wild Reindeer Council in Norway. It was first published under the title ‘Hognareinen’. Jon J Meli was the editor of the yearbook from 1987 to 2002. He developed a very readable and attractive product with a host of interesting articles and topics. This work was continued by Rolf Øvrum. Arne Nyaas has been editor since 2005. In addition to the editor, many writers contribute articles and photos to Villreinen.
Six thousand copies of VILLREINEN are printed, and it is distributed/sold in all the wild reindeer areas in Norway. Subscribers receive the yearbook in the post in April/May, immediately after publication.
VILLREINEN is very useful for anyone interested in hunting and wild reindeer management. The yearbook also includes some other material about the mountain areas of Norway.
